Rosie Cutrer has been telling stories professionally for the past fourteen years presenting at schools, libraries, museums and festivals. She has also been invited to perform at the state storytelling festival in Downs, Kansas, the St. Charles Missouri River Festival, The Land Rush Festival in Choctaw, Oklahoma, The Tumbleweed Festival in Garden City and the Homestead National Monument in Beatrice, Nebraska. In 2007, she was a regional teller at the National StorytellingConference in St. Louis, Missouri.
Rosie learned the art of storytelling as a teacher, through her studies of theater in college and later in professional and community theater productions. Cutrer also has received storytelling coaching from other area storytellers and at numerous national storytelling conferences.
In between stories Rosie performs songs accompanying herself on the banjo. You can learn more more about her programs at her website: www.rosiecutrer.com.
Cutrer is a lifelong resident of Topeka, Kansas. She and her husband Bill have eight grandkids who range in age from two to sixteen years and yes she practices most of her material on her family. Rosie finds that her family members are her best critics, especially the kids. They'll tell her things abourt her stories and music that adults might be afraid of saying. All in all Cutrer finds life on the road as a storyteller personally fulfilling as well as interesting. Who knows? She might find an interesting story to tell at the Expo on Tuesday, September 22! Sponsored by Morrill & Janes Bank & Trust, Hiawatha, KS.

Check back later for more details regarding exhibitors and other activities.
