Help In Your Home
Home Delivered Meal Programs
Martina,
78, broke her hip and returned home after eight days in the hospital.
She is able to dress herself and walk using a walker. She is unable
to leave the house and unable to stand long enough to prepare a
meal.
What are Home-Delivered Meals?
Home-delivered meals are available in many Kansas communities to
individuals who have been determined to meet established eligibility
criteria. Meals are nutritious and tasty and are delivered by volunteers.
Frozen or "shelf-stable" meals requiring minimal preparation
may be available in some areas. Some services deliver two meals
daily, but most deliver only one. Special diets may be available
to those who need them.
